Helpshift’s web form submission process utilizes a captcha that will effectively block both scripted and manual bulk spam attacks.

When a user submits an issue using the ‘Contact Us’ button on the support web page, the new web-form captcha will create a simple task for the end-user to complete. The task should not take more than a few seconds to complete.


Details on the experience:

The experience will require the end-user to interact with a picture as follows. When the user selects the ‘Submit’ button, they will be guided through a 3-step process where they are asked to align a picture as shown below.



The end-user will have the option to complete the task through an Audio prompt by selecting the (speaker) option at the Verification step.


Users will see the challenge in the language of their browser If the browser is not in the supported language, it will default to English.
