How do I create a free trial account? Signing up for a free trial of Helpshift is easy:

  1. Please visit signup.helpshift.com/free-trials and submit the required information such as your name, email address and company.
  2. Verify your email address and reset your password.

This will provide you with access to a personal free trial account that is valid for 14 days.

What Helpshift features can I access during the free trial? When you sign up a free trial user, you get will have access to the following capabilities:

  1. Asynchronous web chat
  2. Mobile messaging
  3. Email-based support
  4. Agent console
  5. FAQ configuration center
  6. Web and mobile help portals
  7. AI-powered Answer Bot
  8. Analytics dashboard
  9. Automations and auto-assignment capabilities
What Helpshift features are inaccessible during the free trial? We restrict access to advanced features of the Helpshift platform that require additional context in order to be used successfully.

The following features are restricted:

  1. AI-powered Issue Classification
  2. Custom Bots
  3. APIs
  4. Integrations
  5. Power BI
  6. Campaigns
  7. Queues

These can be unlocked upon request after speaking with a Helpshift account executive.

How do I upgrade from free trial to a paid account? Upgrading to a paid account requires purchasing a subscription to Helpshift.

Paid plans also provide a new Helpshift account that will support a full deployment.

An Account Executive can help recommend the best paid plan for your needs. To proceed, you can:

How do I change my free trial password? In order to change your password, please navigate to your personal Helpshift domain at a URL which looks like: <freetrialdomain>.helpshift.com/login and follow the password reset flow by clicking on ‘Forgot Password’.

The ‘Forgot Password’ link will appear as it does below, when you are logged out of your Helpshift account.

How do I test Helpshift on a live website? In order to test the web chat experience on a live website, you must embed a short snippet of Javascript inside your website HTML code.

How do I access technical support for my free trial account? In order to contact technical support, please login to your trial account and click on the ‘Help’ button on the top banner.

How long will I have access to my free trial account? All free trial accounts are provisioned for 14 days. After this period access to your trial account will be withdrawn.

Account access can be extended by discussing your needs with an account executive.

What happens to my free trial account data after the trial period concludes?  

Free Trial accounts that have concluded the two week trial period, will be deleted during routine product maintenance cycles at Helpshift.
