What’s New?

From July 2022 onwards, all the new domains will get access to the Smart Intents feature. With Smart Intents, you can provide a truly automated customer support experience to your end-users.

In order to enable a seamless journey for our customers, we’re providing out-of-the-box-

  • Pre-configured intents: These intents/intent groups represent the most common/general issues of the end-users.

  • Pre-trained intents: Using AI, we have trained these intents on the basis of how end-users may reach out to the brands.

Referring to these pre-configured set-ups, admins can then easily create and train new intents. These will be available in all the language translations as supported by Helpshift.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How many intent menus can be created?
A. The number of intent menus that can be created is based on your pricing plan. Please refer to our pricing page - Pricing - Helpshift. The pre-published intent menu is counted towards that limit. Please reach out to our sales team in case you would like to add more intent menus.

Q. Can I edit or unpublish the pre-published intent menu?
A. Yes, the pre-published intent menus can be edited or unpublished. You can add your own intent groups and intents to the pre-published intent menu.

Q. Can I create a new intent group/intent?
A. Yes, you can create a new intent group or intent as needed. There is no limit on creation of intents and intent groups.

Q. How many intents can be present in an intent menu?
A. At max 15 intents can be present in an intent menu.

Q. Can I duplicate or delete the pre-published intent menu?
A. The pre-published intent menu is intended to be your first menu. It can be edited (changed as you see fit) but it is not intended to be duplicated or deleted.

Q. Can I edit pre-configured intent groups/intents?
A. The pre-configured intent groups are intended to give you a set of easy-to-use, pre-trained intents. These cannot be edited but instead new groups can be added.

Q. Can I add more training messages to a pre-configured intent?
A. The pre-configured training messages for intents are intended to give you an idea about what training messages should look like typically (e.g. number of training messages to keep, languages to add training messages in, etc.). These cannot be edited and new training messages cannot be added for a pre-configured intent. Instead, you can add a new intent and add relevant training messages to it.
