At a high level, there are only two ways to publish an article to your Help Center.

  • You can publish the article immediately.

    OR

  • You can schedule its publication to occur at any time over the next 45 calendar days, starting just 1 hour from now.

NOTE

Scheduled publishing capabilities in Help Center are exclusive to our Growth and Enterprise subscription packages. They are not included in the Starter package.

Each approach is more suitable than the other, some of the time.

  • Immediate, unscheduled publishing could be more appropriate when:
    • You document a released feature that is not already documented in some other article.
    • You correct, update, or clarify an article that is already published.
  • Scheduled publishing could be more appropriate when:
    • An article is ready for release but pertains to an as-yet-unreleased feature.
    • Multiple articles are interconnected and cross-linked, whose meaning may be temporarily difficult to understand unless the articles are published simultaneously.

Many other scenarios are also possible, of course.
