Below are the common scenarios and steps to troubleshoot translation failures when working with Language AI for text template translations.
Scenario 1: Failed bulk translation
When a text template is translated in bulk for all languages supported by Language AI, you may experience a translation failure due to some error. A red exclamation mark near the affected language indicates this failure.
The text template will open, displaying an error message regarding the failed translation.
Solution:
You can proceed with either one of the below steps.
- You can retry the translation.
- You can choose to save the text template without updating the failed translation.
If you want to retry the translation for the text template, follow these steps.
- Click the RETRY button to retry the translation for the failed language.
A popup will appear, asking you to confirm the action of retry for the failed translations.
- Click RETRY TRANSLATION.
The translation will start processing again, and you will be notified upon completion.
If you decide to save the text template without updating a failed translation, follow these steps.
- Once the translations are complete, open the text template and click SAVE.
A warning popup will appear, asking for confirmation to save without updating. - Click SAVE WITHOUT UPDATING.
If the text template is saved without updating, the failed languages will be discarded, and the text template will be saved.
Scenario 2: Individual language translation failure.
When a text template is translated for individual languages supported by Language AI, you may experience a translation failure due to some error. A red exclamation mark near the affected language indicates this failure.
