When the Language AI for Text Template is enabled, you can edit the English content of your text template. After making the necessary changes, click DONE to save the content as a draft.

Once the English content is modified, a warning notification will appear, prompting you to update all translations.

Adding more languages to a text template

To add more languages for text template translations, follow these steps:

  1. In the All Translations section, click the dropdown list.

  2. Click ADD MACHINE TRANSLATIONS.

  3. Select the languages you want to translate.

  4. Click TRANSLATE.
The machine translations for the text template will be updated.

Note: You can save the text template even if there is a warning sign. However, the warning will persist each time the template is revisited until all translations are updated either using Language AI or manually.

Re-translating with Language AI

If you want to update translations using Language AI, click the Re-translate CTA. This option is available if the content has previously used Machine Translations (marked with an MT tag).
Follow the steps below to re-translate your content.

  1. Navigate to the text template you want to retranslate.

  2. Click the More options button () and select Edit.

Alternatively, hover over the template and click the Edit icon.

  3. Make the necessary changes to the default English content.

  4. Click DONE to save your changes.

A warning message will appear, prompting you to update the translations as the default content is updated.
The RE-TRANSLATE button will become the All Translations section's primary call-to-action (CTA).

  5. Upon clicking RE-TRANSLATE, a popup will appear, allowing you to select the languages for retranslation. By default, all the languages previously translated using Language AI are pre-selected.
Languages not supported by Language AI will be disabled.

  6. Click TRANSLATE to begin the translation process.

You will be notified upon completion.
The updated content will be added to all selected languages and will be auto-saved as a draft. There will be Unsaved Changes tag to represent that all these changes are still in draft.

Note:

  • The admin will be able to save the text template without updating the translations, even if a warning is displayed.

  • The warning notification to update all translations will disappear once all translations are updated.

  • Any changes made during the edit process are automatically saved as drafts, and the Unsaved Changes tag will be displayed until the content is finally saved to reflect in features where text template is used. Once the content is reviewed and saved, the Unsaved Changes tag will be removed.

Restoring previous version

You can discard all the draft changes and restore the text template to the earlier saved version if needed. To do so, click the RESTORE button at the bottom left corner of the All Translations section.

A pop-up will appear for confirmation. Click RESTORE.

Once restored, the Unsaved Changes tag will be removed, and the previous content will be shown removing draft content.

Note:

  • When downloaded, the final saved version will be downloaded.

  • When Language AI is disabled, after updating the default content, a warning notification will prompt you to manually update all translations, as the translations are based on the English default content and may not be accurate.
